Samantha Wellesley has been given five days to make a BIG choice: go back to her safe, predictable home in Texas, or stay to live on a floating bubble on the Pacific Ocean with her family and some strangers.
Sure, they are doing research to help save the oceans. But this is not Samantha’s idea. She has never been in or on the ocean before. Will the bubble bounce around on the waves and make her seasick all the time? Will stormy seas make her fall overboard and drown? And who are these strange kids she will have to live with?
What will Sam choose?

It’s easy to fit in, right?
To find the thing you’re really good at so you can help the team? That’s what Splash thinks. And now that she’s decided to stay on the Bubble, she wants to quickly figure out how she can help—just like her new friends already do.
Is she good at caring for marine animals or charting their migration paths? Is she good at taking ocean measurements or fixing instruments? Splash tries several new jobs. But things don’t go as smoothly as she thought they would. How will Splash be able to contribute?

What is the chance of bumping into a Great White Shark in the San Francisco Bay? Is it more than the chance of falling off your bike? More than getting bitten by a dog?
Splash needs to know… and time is running out. Her family and friends have been invited to swim in the San Francisco Bay. But there are sharks in the Bay, right? Splash does a LOT of research on the Internet and learns some surprising things.
Will Splash take a chance and swim in the bay?

Splash is super afraid to speak in front of groups. Her brain freezes, she begins to shake, and she can’t breathe. Is something wrong with her?
And now Donovan is sick. He has a high temperature and has lost his voice. But he has to teach a group of kids about the ocean in just four days. His twin sister, Cassie, needs Splash to step up and help out.
Will Donovan get well in time?
Or will Splash have to face what terrifies her more than anything?
